Commitment To Sustainability: Introducing The Upcycled Collection

Slow fashion is in the very DNA of Ancient Greek Sandals. At the heart of our brand, we are committed to reusing, rewearing, and creating timeless, classic pieces designed to be an everlasting part of your wardrobe. We are proud to say that from our inception we have employed local craftsmen in our home country to hand-make each style. By doing so, and using traditional Greek leather cutting techniques, we are keeping this rich, creative history alive for future generations.

As we protect our history, we must also protect our planet. That ιs why, as we enter the 21st century, we are committed to reviewing our production process in a positive way, and doing our part to help minimise climate change. We are excited to present to you our Upcycled Capsule Collection.

Crafted entirely from off-cuts of leather from previous seasons, each pair truly is zero-waste. We worked closely with our factories to find the best way of repurposing material that would have otherwise been discarded. In doing so, we have reinvented the fabric into 6 new styles, all of which will age beautifully in time.

Each pair features our waved leather motif, reflecting the movement of the ocean we are working so tirelessly to protect. Available in shades from classic monochrome to brilliant bright red, and our popular day-to-night gold, this varied collection has also been created to sell at an entry-level price point. We must work together, support each other, and save our seas!

Finally, each pair will come in a newly created box made from recycled paper.
