How can I change or cancel my order?

If you wish to change or cancel your order, please contact us at customercare@ancientgreeksandals.com up to 4 hours since you placed your order to assist you. Please be advised that we cannot change or cancel your order after your parcel has been shipped. 


What are the payments methods?

The payment methods for purchases in our online shop are: 

credit cards (Visa, Mastercard) & PayPal. Some cards may require authorization from the issuing bank.

Ancient Greek Sandals undertakes to maintain at all times the highest standards of security. All credit card transactions on our site are processed using a secure online host environment.

Why was my credit card or other means of payment rejected at the time of purchase?

If you receive a notification advising that the payment method has been declined, please check that:

  • the details of the card or payment information have been entered correctly,
  • the security code is correct,
  • the credit card has not expired.

If all of the above information is correct, contact your bank or the payment service provider.


Are there shipping costs?

Please bare in mind that shipping charges are non-refundable.

International delivery costs:

£10 for the United Kingdom

AU$ 15 for Australia

CAN$ 14 for Canada

€10 for countries outside the EU

Deliveries to Greece are handled by ACS & the cost is €3.

During free shipping promotions, the delivery cost will be removed on the final payment page.

Are taxes included?

For all shipments outside the European Union, additional tax, customs and import duties will be levied by the customer.

When my order will be shipped?

Items marked “in stock” are dispatched from our warehouse in Greece within 1-2 business days.

Sandals that are not in stock and need to be pre–ordered will take 30-45 days to be produced and will ship at that time.

What are the delivery times?

Delivery time depends on the destination. For countries within the European Union, the estimated delivery time is 1-2 working days.

Shipments to countries outside the EU, take approximately 2 business days to reach the local customs, then delivery depends on customs clearance.


How to track my package?

Once your order is dispatched from our warehouse, you will receive an e-mail containing the tracking number assigned to your package, allowing you to monitor the status of your shipment.

Can I change my shipping address?

If you wish to change your shipping address, you have up to 4 hours after you have placed your order to contact us at customercare@ancientgreeksandals.com.

Please be advised that we cannot change the delivery address after the order has been shipped. 


How long can I have to return an item?

You may request a refund or an exchange within 14 days following the delivery of the item(s). Based on the current exceptional situation, we are applying a reasonable extension of our usual standard return timeframe.

Please contact us if you wish to receive more information or assistance on your specific return request and we will be glad to evaluate your case.

What are the conditions for returning an item?

Please take into consideration that if your sandals were purchased at a different retail location, please refer to their return/refund policy.
Returned items must comply with our returns policy:

•    Items must be returned unworn, undamaged and unused, with all tags attached and the original packaging included.
•    Footwear(sandals) and accessories(bags) must be returned with the original branded boxes and dust bags, where provided, and placed inside a protective outer box for shipping.
•    When trying on footwear, please take care not to mark the soles or damage the shoe box. We highly recommend when trying on the sandals to stand on a carpeted area in order to protect the soles with unpleasant markings.

Please take care when trying on your purchases and return them in the same condition you received them. Any returns that do not meet our policy will not be accepted.

Can I return a pre-order product?

Custom Made products are excluded from the Right to Withdrawal or Right to Exchange contracts due to item(s) being specially tailored to fit individuals. In any case where a client has purchased a Custom-Made Product then they will be unable to exercise their Right to Withdrawal/ Exchange in relation to this product(s).

I checked out as guest. How can I return my order?

To initiate the return process please create an account with the same e-mail address you used to place your order on our website. 

How I return my order?

To return your sandals, please follow the return instructions below:

1)    Select ‘Returns and Refunds' option on footer and then kindly fill out the online return form.
2)    Insert your order number GEXXXXXXXXXXNL and the e-mail used during placing the order.
3)    Choose the item(s) you wish to return and pick a reason from the dropdown menu.
4)    Select return method.

Once you complete the above call your local DHL office to arrange the collection of the sandals.

As we offer free returns for Greece, the return shipping charges is our burden. Please request ACS or Speedex the shipping cost to be cleared by the recipient.

Ensure your timely return via our shipping partner DHL. Returning an Item may occur a charge.
For countries in the EU the cost is €10. For the rest of the world, please select your country and check the return shipping charge.

Can I use my own return service?

We offer easy returns for orders placed on ancientgreeksandals.com. If you are having issues organizing a return, please contact customercare@ancientgreeksandals.com. In order to ensure a timely and secure return, we suggest using our own shipping service DHL. In case you decide to use your own courier service, the return shipping charges and any additional charges that may occur are a burden of the customer. Should you need to use your own return service we recommend obtaining a proof of postage for tracking purposes. Please be advised that we do not take any responsibility for charges this may incur, including import duties and taxes and any loss or damage to parcels.

Where is my returned item?

To track your return shipment, enter the tracking number in the dedicated search field on the www.dhl.com/en.html.

How to receive a refund?

Once we have received your return and the quality inspection is completed, our team will verify the condition and state of returned item(s), this may take 3-4 working days. 
A refund will be made as soon as possible/when the item has been accepted for returns.

Can I send the item to be returned from a different country than the one to which the order was shipped?

Customers should dispatch the products for return from the same country where the products were first delivered.

May I return my purchase to your flagship store in Athens?

Any purchases that have been placed via our website can not be returned or exchanged in-store and vice versa.

I received a faulty product. What do I do?

Faulty items purchased from a store or website other than Ancient Greek sandals are handled personally by the original store or website. Please contact the original store of purchase for assistance. If you believe you have received a faulty product, please contact us directly with your order number and photos of the product. Following our assessment, we will advise on how to proceed. Please do not send anything back to us prior to our confirmation.


How to choose the right size?

Ancient Greek Sandals are based on Italian sizing and come true to size. However, as they come in full sizes only it is best that you order a size up if you are in between sizes. As the fitting of our sandals is narrow, you may also consult  our size guide to check our sandals size measurements.

Can I purchase an item which is not available in stock?

At Ancient Greek Sandals we are happy to produce the sandals you wish if the raw material is sufficient in our production. You may find this service available on selected products under the name “Make to Order”. Alternatively, please contact our customer care team for further assistance.

Where can I find technical information about a product?

When you browse, click on the products that interests you, a description will appear under the selection of your size to inform you about the characteristics and composition of the sandal or product concerned.

How to take care of my sandals?

We recommend preserving your Ancient Greek Sandals product in ideal conditions. 

▪Do not expose the leather to sun or humidity for prolonged periods of time. 
▪Avoid contact with makeup, perfume or any chemical.  

If the sandals get wet, then dry by dabbing the item with an absorbent cloth that does not pill. Avoid rubbing the surface, which could alter the shade of the leather.

How to store my sandals?

Before storing, leave your sandals to air out before returning them to their original shoebox. Never store your shoes in a room that is damp or subject to extreme fluctuations in temperature.
